What is Line Editing?
Line editing is a detailed editorial process that focuses on the artistry and effectiveness of your writing at the sentence and paragraph level. Unlike copy editing, which primarily checks for grammar, punctuation, and spelling, line editing is concerned with several things that impact your message as an author.
Improving the overall pacing and logical flow of your text while making sure sentences are clear, concise, and varied in length and rhythm. Maintaining your unique voice while enhancing engagement with your readers. I will select the most precise words for tone and meaning. I will adjust language to match that intended audience and emotional impact.
With my line editing I don’t only correct awkward phrasing and eliminate redundancies but also suggest ways to strengthen your writing, making it more compelling and polished.
My rates are from $.02-$.03 per word for line editing, depending on the project. I also offer payment plans. Contact me for details.
